At TVGla, we set a simple, yet intentional, goal: to seek out the best people. Not just those who are extremely talented, but those who are kind, candid and compassionate. Our disciplined and organized hiring approach helps us do this, ensuring that we bring in individuals who align with our core values.

From the early days of the agency, our CEO, Dimitry Ioffe, has personally met with every potential candidate, and he still does. But not to grill them on their marketing chops — rather to “chop it up” and get a sense of who they are as people. Our hiring process is structured to be both selective and collaborative, incorporating multiple rounds of interviews where candidates engage directly with the teams they would be working with. This gives both sides a clear, transparent look at compatibility — not just in terms of skill, but in character and mindset. For these reasons, you won’t find people who “fail up” at TVGla. Our team-oriented approach to hiring means that every new team member has been evaluated not just for their expertise, but for their ability to collaborate, contribute, and grow with the agency. Essentially, we put the people first, and by doing so we ensure exceptional results, not just for our clients but for our internal teams as well. That’s why so many of our employees stay for the long haul, and our turnover rate remains low.

In 2023, we took a significant step in refining our mission and rebranded to align with our focused path. We moved away from taking on one-off new-client projects and started focusing on clients we could build teams around because we realized one-off projects weren’t worth the strain they put on the system. The extra revenue came at a cost to our team’s time, energy and well-being. As we’ve grown, we’ve become more intentional about how we invest our energy — prioritizing sustainable partnerships and a healthy work culture over short-term gains.

That approach extends beyond the (virtual) office. Whether we’re celebrating baby showers, birthdays, musical performances or drag show appearances, we show up for each other in real life too. And a few times a year, we take it even further, coming together for seasonal all-agency retreats to strengthen the relationships that make us who we are. These in-person sessions deepen our connection and trust, reminding us that we’re part of something different — an agency that’s built on shared values and is committed to everyone’s shared success. 

Our CEO often jokingly signs off all-hands meetings with, “Thank you all for being part of this grand experiment.” And while one may write it off, it rings true on a deeper level. TVGla has never been about simply following industry norms — we’re constantly testing and refining what a modern agency can be. We’ve built something different, where trust fuels creativity, balance drives performance, and synergy isn’t just a buzzword — it’s how we show up every day. 

Our team trusts each other, and that leads to our brands trusting us: with performance marketing, strategy, creative, results and, as we often joke, their sanity. To be worthy of our clients’ trust, we pride ourselves on being levelheaded, kind, and ultimately respectful to ourselves. At TVGla, that’s just who we are and who we’ve strived to be from the beginning.
